November 17-18 | Thanksgiving Boxes of Love Distribution:
Every year, UPLIFT fills boxes with 60lbs of groceries and essential supplies. All food and hygiene items are generously donated to our team and distributed to our Kids at Heart students and their families as well as our unhoused neighbors living on the streets of San Diego. This year's Thanksgiving Boxes of Love distribution will take place on Thursday, November 17th and Friday, November 18th, 2021.

November 30 | Giving Tuesday:
Giving Tuesday, often described as a global day of giving or a global generosity movement, is held each year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. This year's global Giving Tuesday theme is "connections, partnerships, and relationships." These ideals are some of the core pillars of UPLIFT's mission and we hope you'll consider becoming a Champion for Change this #GivingTuesday!

December 13-16 | Hygiene Supplies Drive:
The need for hygiene item donations is at an all time high as the number of unhoused San Diegans skyrockets following the socioeconomic hardships resulting from the pandemic. UPLIFT is collecting donations of the following items to create hygiene kits for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

Donations Needed:

Blankets, razors, shaving cream, new socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, masks, hand sanitizers, feminine products, baby wipes, sleeping bags, other hygiene items, and handwritten letters

​December 30 | New UPLIFT Office Warming Party:
UPLIFT's Board, staff, and volunteers are delighted to announce the grand opening of our new office in downtown San Diego. As the need for essential homeless and student services increases, UPLIFT is dedicated to creating capacity to meet the need of the most vulnerable in our communities. With the opening of our new office, it is our hope to usher in a new era of updated programs and opportunities to serve.
December 20 | Holiday Boxes of Love Distribution:
Using the hygiene donations collected from December 13th-16th, UPLIFT staff and volunteers will create our Holiday Boxes of Love which will contain socks, blankets, food, and hygiene kits. These kits will be hand-distributed to our unhoused neighbors downtown. If you're interested in volunteering for the distribution, please contact us for details.

December 13-25 | 12 Days of Kindness
The 12 days leading up to Christmas mark the home stretch of our 2021 Holiday Champions for Change Campaign. On each of the 12 days, we'll share a success story from one of our program participants. It's our hope that these stories will inspire supporters like you to become a Champion for Change.
